Employee Dashboard
Designing a centralized employee workspace that brings daily tasks, approvals, organizational updates, resources and employee activities together in one personalized dashboard.
A single workspace for everyday employee needs.
The Employee Dashboard was designed as a centralized workspace where team members could access important information, pending actions, organizational updates, resources and employee activities from a single screen.
Help employees understand what needs their attention.
The dashboard needed to communicate what is happening today, what requires action and where employees can quickly find information.
Instead of making employees navigate through multiple modules for everyday activities, the dashboard acts as a personalized starting point for their workday.
Each card provides a summarized view and acts as an entry point into its respective workflow.
Too much information, too many places to look.
The enterprise application contained a large amount of employee information spread across different modules. Employees frequently needed to move between multiple areas to complete everyday activities.
Daily Activities
Meetings, tasks and actions requiring immediate attention.
Employee Actions
Declarations, ratings, shortfall actions and pending tasks.
Organization Updates
News, announcements, events and important communications.
Resources
Policies, quick links, videos and frequently used content.
Designing around employee priorities.
Instead of organizing the dashboard purely around application modules, I structured the experience around what employees actually need to do and discover during their workday.
Act
What needs my attention? Schedule, approvals, pending actions and surveys.
Monitor
What should I keep track of? TIB reports, leave information, events and world time.
Discover
What is happening around me? News, celebrations, memories, videos and leadership principles.
Access
Where can I find something quickly? Policies, quick links, search and notifications.
One dashboard, multiple employee needs.
The dashboard brings together multiple types of information through modular cards. Each card provides a summarized view and acts as an entry point into its respective workflow.

Organizing the dashboard around four employee priorities.
The dashboard structure was built around what employees need to act on, monitor, discover and access during their day.
What needs my attention?
Schedule, approvals, pending actions and surveys.
What should I keep track of?
TIB reports, leave information, events and world time.
What is happening around me?
News, celebrations, memories, videos and principles.
Where can I find something quickly?
Policies, quick links, search and notifications.
A dashboard that adapts to the employee.
Every employee has different priorities. A fixed card order would therefore not provide the same value to everyone.
Select Card
Choose the dashboard card that needs to be repositioned.
Drag & Drop
Move the card to the preferred position in the dashboard.
Personalized Layout
The dashboard reflects the employee's preferred workflow.
Search and notifications keep information within reach.
Important information should remain accessible even when users are working inside other parts of the application.
Global Search
Employees can search using keywords, team member names, module names and other relevant information.
Notifications
Notifications provide a centralized way to discover pending activities, system updates and important information.
Making new functionality discoverable.
New functionality should be visible without disrupting the employee's normal dashboard workflow.
New Widget Launch
A dedicated What's New widget communicates upcoming functionality and product updates directly from the dashboard.
Summary first. Detailed workflow when needed.
The dashboard was intentionally designed as a launchpad rather than attempting to reproduce complete modules inside every card.

Design decisions behind the experience.
The dashboard was designed to balance information density with clarity and personalization.
Reduce Cognitive Load
Information was prioritized based on urgency and relevance instead of giving every card equal visual importance.
Progressive Disclosure
Cards provide a concise summary while detailed information remains available inside the respective module.
Personalization
Drag-and-drop functionality gives employees control over their dashboard and lets them prioritize frequently used cards.
Consistent Interactions
Cards follow predictable interaction patterns so employees can move between dashboard experiences with minimal learning effort.
From information architecture to visual design.
My contribution covered the structure, interaction, visual language and responsive considerations of the dashboard experience.
A personalized entry point into the enterprise application.
The dashboard brought frequently used employee activities, organizational information, resources and engagement content into one centralized workspace.
Personalized Workspace
Employees could organize the dashboard according to their individual priorities.
Faster Access
Frequently used information and actions were brought closer to the employee's starting point.
Better Information Hierarchy
Important actions received stronger visual priority while secondary information remained accessible.
Connected Experience
The dashboard became a launchpad into the wider enterprise application.
What this project taught me.
A dashboard should prioritize.
The goal is not to display everything available in the system, but to help employees understand what matters most.
Personalization improves relevance.
Different employees have different workflows, so the dashboard should adapt to individual priorities.
Summary + deep dive works.
Cards provide enough information to make a decision while detailed modules handle the complete workflow.
Enterprise can still feel human.
Celebrations, memories, thoughts and events create a more engaging employee experience alongside functional content.
Designing a dashboard that works as a personalized employee workspace.
This project challenged me to organize a large amount of enterprise information without making the interface feel complicated. The key was to balance functionality, hierarchy and personalization so that employees could quickly understand their priorities and access the information they needed.
